A Different Kind of Spanish Class

Young children learn language by hearing it, using it, playing with it, and experiencing it naturally.

Our two-hour experience is intentionally divided into guided learning and Spanish play.

Guided Spanish Learning

Up to 1 hour

We will explore the monthly theme through:

  • Spanish greetings and everyday expressions
  • Feelings and emotions
  • Vocabulary
  • Spanish children’s books
  • Songs and movement
  • Games
  • Hands-on activities
  • Age-appropriate connections to language, math, science, and social studies

The goal is not to sit at a desk for two hours.

The goal is to give children meaningful opportunities to understand and use Spanish.

Spanish Play & Social Time

Approximately 1 hour

The rest of our time will be dedicated to play, exploration, and interaction in Spanish.

Children will play with other children while naturally practicing the vocabulary and expressions introduced during the guided portion of the class.

Parents and caregivers are encouraged to participate, model Spanish, and enjoy the experience alongside their children.

“Spanish playtime with a purpose.”

Stories, conversation, movement & play

Learn Through a New Theme Each Month

Each month we will explore a new theme in Spanish through stories, conversation, games, movement, and hands-on activities.

Each monthly theme will also connect Spanish learning with:

  • Language

  • Math

  • Science

  • Social Studies

At the beginning of each month, families will receive a take-home learning package introducing the following month's topic and vocabulary in Spanish.

Spanish Learning Celebration

During the last meeting of the month, children will have an opportunity to share something they have learned through a simple project, activity, presentation, or conversation.

The goal is confidence, connection, and celebrating progress — not perfection.
